Chicago’s Winky Lux Experience
Pop-ups in Chicago are literally the best. You pay a small fee (or nothing at all in Winky Lux’s case) to immerse yourself in multiple creative rooms and get a bunch of great content in one visit. The Winky Lux Experience in Chicago includes nine rooms within the back of the Shops of North Bridge store.
How do I Sign Up for the Chicago Winky Lux Experience?
You have to sign up to view the rooms in person. There is no option to do so online. The store associates sign you up on an iPad, having you include your contact information. Depending on what time and day you go, you could wait anywhere from 10-60 minutes. We went on a week day during our lunch hour and thankfully only had to wait 10 minutes. There are a few chairs to sit and a rack to hang your coat. Browsing the cute products for sale in the store is also a great way to pass the time!
What’s Included in the Experience?
Each room in the Winky Lux Experience is based off a Winky Lux product. This ranges from their Coffee Eyeshadow Palette to their Watermelon Jelly pH Lip Balm. Guests are led in small groups of two, at most, through each room by a ‘spirit guide’. I thought it was smart for the store to have guides lead you through the experience, as this made sure that people didn’t take too long snapping pics in each room and also offered the opportunity to get a pic with who you came with!
Is the Winky Lux Experience Worth It?
To say that the rooms were cute would be an understatement. I loved the unique aesthetic of each one! I really liked how they were based off the brand’s products in a creative way. The Winky Lux Experience is a permanent addition to the Shops of North Bridge location. Which is genius! Make sure to stop by and check it if you’re in the area shopping or taking a break from the office!
