A good head of hair can turn your day from good to great. Or at-least that’s what I believe. My hair is naturally stick straight, so I like to give it a little extra volume each week with some curls. I have been using the 1″ inch (25mm) NuMe curling wand for a while and LOVE IT. I take my hair styling tools very seriously.

If your hair is on the longer end, I recommend using a 1″ inch curling wand. This width is great because it curls it enough to stay in tact through out the day, but creates loose enough curls for a city bombshell look. Win, win. I try out a variety of hairsprays, and most I like a lot. My favorite for the long run, however, has been TRESemmé TRES TWO Hair Spray Extra Hold. I always have a full and travel size can on hand.

Combating Chicago Winds with Elnett Hairspray

Let me start off by saying that winter in Chicago is rough. The temperatures are below zero, the wind is ruthless, and having long hair stay smooth is a constant battle. L’Oréal Hair offers six different variations of Elnett Hairspray. I received the Elnett Precious Oil Satin Hairspray, which is infused with Argan Oil to turn dry, damaged hair silky smooth. Compared to other hairsprays, this product did not leave a sticky residue on my fingertips, yet kept the hold just the same. The scent was pleasant and I liked the gold packaging, which followed hand-in-hand with the brand’s red-carpet-ready ‘gold standard’ theme.

I decided to try out a glam look for myself to see if the product truly passed the ‘gold standard’ test. The results? A lightweight hold with a smooth, shiny finish. Sounds like luxury to me.
