I can’t believe Sweating Champagne has officially been around for 3 years! It has been a crazy whirlwind so far and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I have always been a writer and a storyteller at heart. My favorite high school class was even a Creative Writing elective. Blogging has given me the thrilling freedom (as we know all Sagittarius’ need) to write whatever I want, from whatever view I want, and create an aesthetic that’s all my own #onbrand. Being able to create something from scratch like this with all the creative freedom in hand is a DREAM. It is what gets me up everyday, it is what motivates me everyday, and it is what keeps me going.
To celebrate this exciting occasion, I teamed up with ECBG Cake Studio, a Chicago bakery that aims to celebrate the moments that matter, for an amazing anniversary cake and a GIVEAWAY (keep reading below)! ECBG Cake Studio is located in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood and was founded by Chicago baker, Erin Martin.
For Sweating Champagne’s anniversary masterpiece I decided to go with a custom 6″ cake. I choose lemon cake, cream cheese filling, and honey frosting. IT WAS AMAZING. The cake was light tasting and sooo aesthetically pleasing. I mean, come on, check out those sprinkle formations! Decked out with white chocolate icing and celebratory macaroons, I couldn’t believe the floral display of white roses (my favorite) and how perfect the whole creation was.
